State of Constitutional Exception for Catastrophe is extended

On September 10, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak that affects the country, the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, decided to extend the State of Constitutional Exception for Catastrophe, due to public calamity, declared in Chilean territory by Supreme Decree N° 104, of 2020, of the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security, and its modifications, for an additional period of 90 days, counted from the expiration of the period foreseen in the last extension. This extension was materialized through Supreme Decree No. 400 of the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security, published in the Official Gazette on September 12.

Additionally, it was provided that all the appointments of the Chiefs of National Defense are being renewed in each region of the country.
