House of Representatives approves law to postpone hearings and judicial proceedings in the courts of justice

An important step was taken in Congress when a law was approved in the House of Representatives that authorizes the postponement of hearings and judicial proceedings in the courts of justice to prevent the spread of Covid-19. On the other hand, it is established that hearings in certain matters, such as criminal cases (detention control), family (intra-family violence), among others, cannot be suspended. It is also indicated that the use of remote systems in hearings such as electronic processing should be privileged by the courts. Likewise, it is authorized that other courts that are not part of the Judiciary, such as arbitration courts, TLDC, Constitutional Court, among others, follow the same instructions.
